Dr. Ashley Smith is a published author, Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, certified Wellness Coach, and founder of The Zen Doctor, LLC—a modern wellness and leadership consultancy supporting individuals and organizations in transforming burnout into balance.​​

 

Originally from Louisiana, Dr. Ashley blends southern soul with scientific precision to help people thrive at work and in life. With over a decade of expertise in organizational psychology, leadership development, and mental wellness, her research on retention, burnout, and transitional coaching fuels her mission: guiding high achievers through obstacles—mental, emotional, and professional—to reach their fullest potential.

Doctoral Research & Beyond

Ashley's doctoral research focused on leadership and cultural effects of corporate retention, and is published in Walden University’s ScholarWorks and has been recognized for its contribution to inclusive leadership and retention strategies.

Through The Zen Doctor, she offers a full suite of services—from executive coaching and corporate retreats to burnout recovery programs, yoga for professionals, and transformative life coaching.
